Ontario Tourism Summit Opening Night Reception

When Tourism Mississauga won the bid to host the Ontario Tourism Summit, they brought us on as event designers and corporate event planners to plan their opening night reception. This corporate party was held at Square One’s Food District, a high end food court with over 20 different food vendors. We played off of Mississauga’s new tagline “a cultural canvas” with a travel theme for food and creative. Photos by Indigo Events.

Corporate events don’t have to be boring! We loved breathing life to this event with customized graphics and unique details that spoke to the brand.

The main seating area did double duty as the stage area for opening remarks. We designed it with white clouds and paper airplane motifs as a fun photo opp. The backdrop was designed with passport stamps and the brand’s main colour purple.

The backdrop we designed featured countries of some of the food vendors in Food District.

The DJ’s table stood out with contrasting colours to the backdrop.

Corporate Event Planning Ideas – Welcome Area

The party’s entrance sets the tone for the event. We decked it out with a welcome drink, check in desk and beautiful sign. You want to make a great first impression at your corporate event.

The check in desk featured the world map and paper airplane, next to a feature shelf with signature bubbly.

Guests received a passport that highlighted all the food vendors, food offering and allergies.

The welcome area featured an oversized sign with sponsors, the paper airplane motif and passport stamps.

Modern cruiser tables with colourful floral arrangements lined the hallway.

Other design elements at this launch party included a custom designed vinyl wrap for the bar. I especially love the paper airplane that makes an appearance on the back bar.

This corporate event welcomed over 300 guests from the Ontario Tourism Summit. It was a bustling event!

We helped coordinate with all the 20+ food vendors to offer a diverse menu for the guests. We designed coordinating signs to identify the food offering at each vendor’s stall.

Guests got to enjoy food and drink from over 20 food vendors all night. It was truly a feast for both the eyes and stomach!

As corporate event planners for this event, our priorities were a beautifully designed event, seamless production and, of course, enough food for all the guests. By these standards, it was a hugely successful event and we can’t wait for the next!
