As summer comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on amazing memories, treasured friendships and spending time on what really matters.
When we are wedding planning with clients, it’s easy to get caught up in the glitz and glam, the decor and the theatrics of it all. There’s so much pressure to put on this magazine worthy wedding. I find myself stressing about the colour of the flowers, or worrying about capturing the right photo for the portfolio.
Don’t get my wrong. I love a beautifully styled wedding and I enjoy my work. But sometimes, I lose sight of what’s important.
And that’s the union of two amazing people.
The celebration of their closest friends and family.
The magical moments where they see each other for the first time and enjoy their first dance together as newlyweds.
These are the things that last and these are the things that matter. These are the things the couple will remember for a lifetime and will have you to thank for it all. This is what makes our job rewarding.
When you find yourself losing your cool or getting stressed out, hold on to these things. Don’t lose sight of what’s really important. ❤️
