This organic and artistic wedding was both beautiful and full of DIY elements from the couple. They infused the wedding with representations from both Italian and Chinese cultures, and let their personalities shine through in all their decor (with a lot of it created by the bride herself!). Being avid gardeners, they wanted their wedding to feel organic, natural and outdoorsy.
The organic garland motif was evident in both their decor and in what they wore. The couple wore custom designed rings with a beautiful leaf pattern. The bride adorned her hair with a custom made hair accessory in silk blooms, while the groom got dressed in his custom made suit.
Such a good looking couple!
We hired a calligrapher who created custom garland motifs as part of the menu and welcome sign, and it fit in just perfectly.
This bride was incredibly gifted in arts and dance, and was involved in creating a lot of the decor elements. Plants that the couple grew in their own home were used as table number representations, and the bride drew each of them for the seating chart.
We also included the drawings as part of an adult colouring poster for the guests at cocktail hour, and table number alternatives.
An Italian accordian player entertained guests who got to sample wraps from the Chinese Peking duck station.
The lush blooms from Coriander Girl were complimented by ivy plants we sourced for guests to take home.
Their colour palette of rich aubergines, reds and nudes popped against the venue’s neutral light-filled room.
Their head table was draped in a floral and leaf garland and their wedding cake was created by a friend who hand painted flowers on it. Guests were gifted with a taste of home, with mini maple syrup bottles.
The couple were avid dancers and surprised guests with an outfit change and a tango for their first dance.
A gelato station opened up for late night to end off on a sweet note.
There was no doubt that this wedding was a true representation of the couple’s interests and passions. It was such a pleasure to piece together the many pieces of this wedding with them!
