This past week I had the pleasure of attending the launch of the new Arcadian Court and Arcadian Loft space by Oliver & Bonacini. They threw one hell of a party! Imagine throwing a party where there are 2,200 RSVPs! That’s an impressive feat in and of itself, if you ask me.
Congrats again to Oliver & Bonacini and team for putting on such a fabulous and successful event. Is anyone getting married here? I’d love to be a part of your celebration at one of these gorgeous venues!
I started off at the Arcadian Loft, a beautiful and moldable space with lots of light. I like how the woman in red is so impressed with the ghost stools (“oohhh see-through”). Loved the interactive food stations throughout the event. Lineups were never too long and there were enough staff to clean up after the guests (very important for a cocktail reception!).
The really astounding space was the newly renovated Arcadian Court. It has lost some of its Art Deco roots but has taken on a beautiful transformation of modern elements mixed in. It has such a grand feel to it.
Here’s a tip: When doing a venue visit, always visit the washroom. If they are clean, it reflects the upkeep of the building! This one looks top-notch, don’t you think?
Let’s talk about the food, the highlight of the event in my opinion. There were passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations from each of the O&B establishments. Every single one of them served amazing eats. My mouth is watering thinking back at it.
Each station had an interactive element to it as well, so it was entertaining just to see it being prepared.
Ok, how absolutely and utterly amazing does this look?? Upstairs there was a beautiful dessert buffet from Bobbete and Belle. Wonderfully colour-coordinated, matching nametags and tasty treats. I had one of the tastiest macarons I have ever had from this table! It had this immediate WOW factor the instant you saw it.
I can’t forget some of the awesome ladies I bumped into that night too! One of my lovely brides Bonnie, the famous Betty from O&B and little miss foodie herself Gizelle (aka @torontoeats on twitter).
