This past summer, Gillette Venus partnered with Saltwater Collective to launch a size-inclusive swimwear line, and we were thrilled to be the event design partners to bring the launch party to life. The event included a custom swimwear shop, a beach and pool themed photo opp and great tropical vibes. We loved transforming the raw event space into a fabulous brand activation. The exterior of the venue was wrapped in branded graphics, to ensure guests knew they were in the right place. A plain garage door was transformed into a tropical oasis.
We created this fun beachy vignette for additional seating and to add to the tropical aesthetic. Tropical palm trees were custom painted in Gillette Venus’ blue colour for a cohesive look with beach loungers and floaties.
To keep with the beach theme, we created a deconstructed water photo opp, made with crinkled blue fabric. It was such a fun way to create a photo opp for the event.
One of our favourite decor pieces for this event was the illusion pool. To keep within budget and to nod to the tropical theme, we created a pool ledge that guests could sit on. Inside the pool ledge was an illusion pool, created with a reflective water graphic and creative use of shadows and 3D letters. With an added pool floatie, we were practically in the water!
We created and designed a custom swimwear shop especially for the event. The “Beach Boutique” included clothing racks to hang the swimwear, shelving for decor accents and mini baskets to keep the inventory. To compliment the swimwear shop, we also created change rooms for guests to try the swimwear on at the event. Each change room featured Gillette’s brand colours, a mirror, chair and lighting. A large communal mirror included Gillette’s body-positive messaging “Any body is a beach body.” Additional product displays accented the setup.
The event went off without a hitch (of course!). Delicious food and themed drinks complimented the tropical vibes of the event. Guests enjoyed photos in front of our “deconstructed water” blue crinkle wall, illusion pool and beach wave backdrop.
