Every year the Wedluxe Show impresses brides-to-be with lavish eats and beautiful displays to inspire their wedding planning and take it to the next level. This year was no different and there were certainly wedding trends we could take away from the 2016 Wedluxe Show. I have teamed up with my friend Jessilynn from Jessilynn Wong Photography to share a few of the highlights from the 2016 Wedluxe Show below. She captured the inspiration at the show so beautifully! Enjoy!
2016 Wedluxe Show Wedding Trends – Sculptural Flower Installations
Preston Bailey has long been known for his flower creations, and we certainly have our own masterful flower artists in Toronto. Sculptural flower installations made a big impression at the show and would surely impress wedding guests. Here were our favourites.
The grand entrance was Tuscan-inspired and citrus-infused, from the talented team at Rachel A. Clingen.
Rachel‘s team continued to wow with a beautiful floor-to-ceiling orchid tree that was both whimsical and magnificent in size and grandeur.
Berries and Blooms created a beautiful table made of vibrant fresh floral. Imagine dining on this!
The Social Rose created stunning features in the House of Juliet room, with floral doorways, flower-framed signage and flower-filled fountains. You can never have too many flowers…
San Remo designed a romantic display of floating floral with hanging teardrop vases. It would be beautiful to dine under this!
2016 Wedluxe Show Wedding Trends – Industrial Chic
Combinations of wood and fresh floral always are a interesting combination, and we’re certainly seeing it more with some of the industrial and heritage spaces we have in Toronto. A couple vendors showed us how to mix it well.
Luxe Rentals showed us how to combine a beautiful live edge wood table with modern white floral. It looks great together.
FOS Decor Centre created an equally stunning display with their new collection of wood tables complimented with gold candelabras and fresh floral for a style that is both romantic and industrious.
2016 Wedluxe Show Wedding Trends – Lavish sweets tables
Cake and sweets tables are making a come back in a big way! We love what these Toronto cake designers made.
Truffle Toronto always impresses with her beautiful sweets display. She shows us how displaying the sweets is just as important as having them taste good.
Sweet Philosophy created a whimsical display of cakes on top of a bed of pink tulle. It was so pretty!
Fine Cakes by Zehra never disappoints with her beautiful interpretation of ethereal love. I love this hidden feature in the cake.
2016 Wedluxe Show Wedding Trends – Interactive Stations
We love the idea of including interactive stations at a wedding. Guests love to see something different and you can certainly take from this trend for your planning.
I’ve seen this at a couple weddings now and it is always a huge hit. Late night gelato station, anyone?? Hotel Gelato had a popular gelato station and it was so tasty!
Guests had a choice of rose to take home as a favour. It’s always fun with a choice and something tangible to take home.
Rebecca and Veronique from Rebecca Chan Weddings & Events schmoozing with Natasha from Berries and Blooms.
We had such a blast at the industry preview of the 2016 Wedluxe Show. Every vendor had something unique to offer and, though we weren’t able to showcase every one, we hope you found these highlights inspirational! There was inspiration bursting from every corner of the show. Thank you again to Jessilynn from Jessilynn Wong Photography for the beautiful photos!
