If you are getting married this year, you are probably starting to think of the details for the day. Minted.com will be having a special 15% off site wide sale March 10 until March 16, and to celebrate, I’ve put together a post with some of my favourite wedding day stationary ideas. One important piece of detail that will make for a great guest experience is the wedding day stationary. A cohesive wedding day includes creating matching signage and stationary for guests. Below are a few wedding day stationary ideas for you from my partners at Minted.

Wedding Day Stationary Ideas: Place Cards
Place cards (sometimes known as Escort Cards, depending on their use) are for guests to find their table number. Sure, you can get something plain from Staples, but why not create something beautiful for it too. Options are limitless when it comes to the design. Minted offers guest name printing too, to take some of the workload from your hands.
Tip: When placing them on the table, organize place cards alphabetically by last name, so that families and spouses can find their names easier. Also you can consider getting nice place card holders for flat cards too, versus the folded card.
Botanical wreath place cards, comes in both white and black backgrounds.
Wedding Day Stationary Ideas: Ceremony Programs
I’m finding that more than half of the couples I work with don’t print ceremony programs anymore. However for those who wish to, you can take this opportunity to highlight special people in your wedding party, special ceremonies or traditions in your ceremony, or write a personal thank you note to your guests.
Tip: Don’t print one per person, print one per couple. Not everyone tends to take one.
Wedding Day Stationary Ideas: Menu
I always recommend printing a menu. Guests like to know what they will be eating and it makes for something nice to put on your place setting (see my Place Setting ideas here on Pinterest). Menus are especially important if there are any cultural foods that will be eaten that are out of the ordinary for some guests.
Tip: If you want to save on printing costs, print one per table and place them in a pretty frame.
Wedding Day Stationary Ideas: Signage
There is always a need for signage at a wedding. If you don’t provide it yourself, chances are there will be none or the venue will provide some hideous sign that they printed off Microsoft Word themselves. Getting easels and frames to put signs in is easy. Consider making your own custom signs for the day so guests know where to go and that they are in the right place.
Ensure your guests know they are at the right wedding with a sign with your names.
If you have a dessert table with different items to try, create your own signs for the sweets.
Wedding Day Stationary Ideas: Extra Details
Can you really have too much? Try some of these ideas for an extra touch of fun.
If you have a photobooth or want to create a space for guests to take photos together, consider getting one of these in the same design as your other stationary. So cute!
If you want to dress up your receiving table, cake table or even your head table, get a fun bunting banner to drape across. Use your initials or a fun phrase.
Cute flags for your drinking straws. Try these for just your signature drink!
If you are giving away favours, stick a pretty matching sticker on them to send your guests off with a small note of thanks.
Whether you are months away or weeks away from your wedding day, it’s never too early to start planning for the details of the day. Customizing the wedding day stationary will not only show your care for the small details, but will make for a more personal experience for your guests. I hope you try some of these ideas for your upcoming celebration!
