Upper Canada Mall celebrated Back To School with a fun setup that included custom 70s-inspired graphics, a locker backdrop, kids fashion show and fun activities. It was a wonderful weekend full of good vibes and great fashion! We had a lot of fun designing this one. Photo credit: Indigo Events.
The event culminated in a fashion show, so we designed a locker backdrop with custom graphics and a beautiful floor vinyl that was split into three parts. The middle boom box portion became the runway for the fashion show, while the outer two parts of the vinyl included iconic symbols from the 70s. We created oversized props of a sneaker, calculator and rubik’s cube to complement the locker backdrop.

From above, you can see the full activation and all the amazing custom graphics we created for it.

We have two fun activations for this Back To School event, including a Jibbitz Bar. Kids came to choose Crocs charms of their choosing, all curated and themed around school and fun icons.
Our second activation was a vintage popsicle cart with fringed umbrella. We especially loved the custom graphics and how they matched with the overall aesthetic of the space.
Upper Canada Mall partnered with the charity Girls Inc. to put on a fashion show featuring retail partners from the mall. The kids had so much energy and loved being a part of it. MAC Cosmetics was onsite to help glam up the participants and our DJ spun tunes for the show. Lastly, the local library had a storytime at our Rubik’s cube.
