Let me start by saying that, I love iridescent. When the client asked us to put together a media launch event and brand activation for Olay’s new Super Serum, we were beyond excited! As their event designer, I loved bringing the event concepts to life in this unique multi-room space.
The main room featured a beautiful welcome area and product demonstrations. Guests then moved to take photos at the iconic bottle wall and get their nails glammed up. All the guests came together in what I called the Glow Bar, where they received signature drinks and sweets with a flair, enjoyed tunes from the DJ and read about the history of Olay.

The Entrance
From the sidewalk, we wanted to make an impression before guests walked in. With mood lighting and iridescent decals on the windows, you knew you were in the right place. Guests were greeted by an iridescent welcome wall and a chance to get their skin analysis done.
An iridescent logo was featured on the exterior windows.
Entrance doors were vinyled with a special brand message.
Upon entering, a shimmery wall greeted guests.
Iridescent backdrops highlighted the educational areas for the media event.
Guests had a chance to do a skin analysis at this media launch event, to see what product would work best for their skin needs.
The Super Lab
Guests made their way to the Super Lab to learn more about the product benefits. Here, they enjoyed a product demonstration and interacted with brand activations that reinforced the product’s key message. Then guests made their way to the Super Serum Gift Bar, where they could pick from an array of Olay products and moisturizers.
The product demo area was the educational component for the event, educating guests on the superior science of the product.
A fun word search was created to search for the key ingredients in the product.
We designed this iridescent activation around the key product benefits for the Olay Super Serum. Guests could take a ball and place it into the tube that defined what they cared for most. We loved this brand activation the most!
The Super Serum gift bar was a beautiful display of Olay products that guests could choose from to take home. We included a few extras like iridescent hair scrunchies and iridescent tote bags.
Guests could choose the moisturizer that best fit their skin’s needs.
Needless to say the gift bar was a huge hit!
The Photo Opp
Every great event needs one main WOW-factor photo opp. As Olay’s event designers, we recreated a large bottle for the photo opp, seen through the beautiful arch and the light-filled hall. The corner photo area was decked out in full floor to ceiling iridescent for an immersive feel. A bubble machine added an extra depth to photos. Down the hall was a nail glam station and fun prompts to “ready, set glow”. Stairs pointed the way to to the Glow Bar and Olay’s history wall.
In the light-filled hallway leading up to the photo opp bottle, we created a fun walkway for “on your markets, get set, glow!”.

The logo was included in the bistro tables that served as the tables for the nail glam bar.
Guests got to get their nails glammed up in the product colours of lavender and iridescent.
The Glow Bar
After learning about the product, picking up their swag bag and taking photos, everyone entered the Glow Bar for unique eats and treats. A specialty cotton candy station and generous charcuterie spread awaited guests, while our DJ spun tunes at the LED DJ booth. Our flair bartenders surprised and delighted guests with their colour coordinated drinks.
The LED DJ booth brought great energy to the marketing launch event.
Plush soft seating in powder blue was the perfect fit for the party room.
Olay’s history was displayed on back lit panels, surrounded by iridescent balls.
Fresh and colour-coordinated charcuterie and snacks kept guests replenished all night long.
For late night sweets, guests could get a cotton candy made in the shape of the Super Serum bottle.
The Glow Bar offered experimental drinks in themed lavender colours.
Lavender coloured drinks with a flair element wowed the guests.
We LOVED how this event turned out. As event designers, our job is to bring together an event that is both seamless and beautiful. This brand activation was not only a feast for the eyes, but had so many great details for guests to experience.
