I shared my favourite Save or Splurge micro wedding ideas with Cityline recently! When it comes to Micro Weddings, you can go big or you can keep it casual, it’s up to you. Here are some of my ideas themed in a trendy boho chic style. Thanks so much to Purple Tree Photography for capturing all the fun details I put together!
It’s always a blast taping with Cityline! We taped this segment at Berkeley Fieldhouse.
We created a Splurge and a Save table to show you how to decorate and style for your next micro wedding. Here are some of my top 5 ideas for your Toronto micro wedding planning.
1. Splurge on Showstopping Decor
Even if your party is more intimate, in a backyard or with a reduced guest count, I always like to create at least one WOW moment with the decor. We’ve done this with a large pastel balloon spill from Ettridges, a great way to bring in colour and scale to your party.
2. Save on Flowers
Decorate with seasonal flowers in bud vases for a cost effective and beautiful way to fill a table. These beautiful blooms from Opening Night Flowers are dainty, yet cute.
3. Splurge on Rentals
Rent a beautiful show stopping piece like this peacock chair. Perfect for photos and to make a statement. People will love taking photos with it.
4. Save on Catering
If your event is smaller cocktail function or a backyard party, consider getting charcuterie trays for guests. Caterers like Food Dudes can individually box them so each guest has their own serving.
5. Splurge on an Experience
Who doesn’t love seafood and oysters? Raw Catering’s mobile oyster shuckers will bring the oysters to you, condiments and all! It’s a fabulous way to elevate the cuisine and feel of your wedding.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for planning your micro wedding! The sky is the limit when planning, but always plan for what will add value to your party or items you really LOVE.
