My upcoming wedding marathon

Aug 6, 2012 | Blog, Details, Planning, Venue

I’m about to head into a really busy two months of weddings (starting this Friday, I have 3 weddings in 8 days… what was I thinking?!). It’ll mean back to back weekends of long wedding days for me but I can’t wait to see these weddings come to fruition after months of hard work.

I thought I’d take a break and give you a glimpse of some of the beautiful venues I’ll be at for my upcoming wedding marathon. If you don’t hear from me the next couple of months, this is where I’ll be…

Eglinton Grand

This Friday I have a wedding at the beautiful Eglinton Grand. It is a renovated theatre with charm from its Art Deco roots. They have a great set up for cocktails on the upper level with the curtains closed, then when dinner is ready the curtains open up to reveal the main room.

Chateau Le Jardin

I’ll be coordinating a reception at Chateau Le Jardin. My clients took advantage of their Friday/Sunday dinner promotion. This is a great venue for both western style food and Chinese meals with Jacky catering. It’s a bit farther out of the city, but a lot of couples like it as a banquet hall option, with is ornate and grand feel.

Malaparte

I’m looking forward to coordinating my first of two weddings at the gorgeous Malaparte venue. Some of you might have seen my previous post about it. It is set atop the 6th floor of the TIFF Bell Lightbox and is a stunning space. Beautiful terrace for a ceremony and cocktail hour.

Jump Restaurant

I have the pleasure of coordinating a reception at another Oliver & Bonacini establishment, namely Jump Restaurant. It’s a classy and modern restaurant that my couples have booked for a buyout. This will be the couple’s Toronto destination dinner after a beautiful PEI celebration. It’s a really dynamic space and will lend itself well to an intimate and less formal occasion.
